About us
The Green Man & Van was founded by two good friends, Rich Edwards and Adam Lee, at the start of 2009. Both Rich and Ad have a passion for the environment and want to start a business that could really make a difference.
The Green Man & Van (or GMV to it's close friends) has gone from strength to strength thanks to a lot of help and support from family and friends.
Since starting the business they have prided themselves on providing an excellent removal and packing service, which is environmentally friendly at no extra costs.

Our Vehicles
The Green Man & Van is ever expanding. We are currently running vehicles of 2 different sizes.
Luton
The Luton van is big and boxy, we find it is perfect for a 2 bedroom house/flat move. If you your move is larger then we'll provide multiple vehicles.
Transit
The Hi-top, long wheelbase Transit Van is ideal for smaller flat moves and furniture collection and delivery. It doesn't have the loading capacity of the Luton but really can carry a surprising amount.

- Our administration and business development is powered through a green energy tariff
- We only used ethically sourced paper and bio-ink for our printing needs
- We are insured by and bank with The Co-operative who have a strong ethical policy
More about Biodiesel
The biodiesel we use is made from used vegetable oils collected throughout London and the South East which makes it a very green fuel that brings real benefits to the environment by turning a waste into a useful product which significantly reduces emissions.
- Chemically similar to diesel
- Burns up to 75% cleaner than diesel fuel made from fossil fuels
- Reduces atmospheric carbon dioxide increase by 100%
- 60% reduction in particulates (soot) and hydrocarbons
- Non toxic and biodegradable
- Reduces sulphur dioxide emissions by up to 100%
- Reduces carbon monoxide emissions by up to 50%
- Biodiesel is a renewable energy source
